High school students celebrated International Yoga Day on 19 June with guided practice by Miss Vinodhini and our new yoga teacher, presided over by the HM; the session promoted physical fitness, mental well‑being, and stress relief.

World Environment Day — Ethiraj Matriculation School, 5 June
Ethiraj Matriculation School marked World Environment Day with a rally, tree-planting, speeches, a quiz and an eco-exhibit — inspiring students to protect our planet.
Competitive-Exam Awareness Program
On June 2, 2026 – Ethiraj Matriculation Higher Secondary School hosted an orientation for Class XI and XII students and their parents focused on competitive-exam pathways and foundation courses offered by Chakra Academy. The academy’s foundation programs and targeted coaching for NEET, JEE, and CMC entrance exams.

On June 2, 2026 Ethiraj matriculation higher secondary School hosted an orientation programme for the class plus one and plus two students and their parents.
The Headmistress , explained guidelines and obtained consent signature to the rules; parents shared constructive suggestions for school implementation.
The collaborative session strengthened school–parent partnership to ensure students’ academic excellence and disciplined progress.
RTE Ceremony 2026

The inaugural ceremony of RTE (Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education) Act was held on 22.05.2026 in the presence of Vellore District Educational Officer Private along with Headmistress and Assistant Headmistresses in Ethiraj Matric.Hr.Sec.School.
Heartfelt Send-Off for Mrs. Sumathi and Mrs. Shahin Sultana
On April 30th at 11 a.m., our school bid a poignant farewell to beloved Botany teacher Mrs. Sumathi and Economics teacher Mrs. Shahin Sultana (retiring early due to personal reasons). Headmistress Mrs. Sharmila, along with PG teachers, graced the memorable event—ushered by Mrs Sharmila Hm of the school with shawl and bouquet, Mrs. Bala Nageswari’s welcome, Tamil sir’s poetic kavithai in a framed photo, and touching felicitations. “May divine light guide your paths, as you shone brightly here—’Go forth in grace, forever in our prayers’.” Anchored warmly, it ended with snacks shared amid tears, leaving a heavy yet cherished void from these talented souls.
Teachers' Stress Buster: Quality Committee Delights!
“Blossoms of Calm from Waste Papers & Yoga Magic!” – In a revitalizing session post-academic hustle, on 28 th of April ,Quality Committee members led an art & craft workshop by Mrs. Rekha (flower-making from collected papers) and simple yoga exercises by Miss Yoga Instructor (Pranayama, Padmasana, and more). Truly energizing and soothing – a perfect unwind for our dedicated teachers!

Sampath, Ph.d., Chairman and Managing Director of Naruvi Hospital, Vellore along with School Committee Members Thiru. S. Prakash, Advocate, Thiru. T.S. Udayasankar, Industrialist, Thiru. P. Saravana Prasad, Engineer sir with Headmistress mam and Assistant Headmistresses mam. The Chief Guest declared the Sports Meet open by lighting the torch. Welcome speech was given by Headmistress, Prizes were distributed and various events were held on the day.

We celebrated our 135th Founder’s day on 18th July 2025 with great enthusiasm. The day commenced with the presence of our school committee members Thiru. S. Prakash, Advocate, Thiru. T.S. Udayasankar, Industrialist , Thiru. P. Saravana Prasad, Engineer with Headmistress and Assistant Headmistresses by lightening the lamp. Classes X, XI,XII Public Examinations school toppers were honoured. The celebration ended in a bliss full way.

The inauguration of various clubs of our School for the academic session 2024-2025 was held on 15th July 2024 with the gracious presence of Dr.A.Meena M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D., Asst. Professor Tamil Department, Voorhees College, Vellore, along with Headmistress and Assistant Headmistresses. The Club secretary along with the incharge teachers displayed the poster of various clubs. The Chief Guest delivered motivational speech followed by various cultural programme.

The inaugural ceremony of RTE (Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education) Act was held on 28.05.2024 in the presence of Thiru Ravi of Vellore District Educational Officer Private along with Headmistress and Assistant Headmistresses in Ethiraj Matric.Hr.Sec.School. The RTE Act was enacted on 4th August 2009 and it commenced on 1st April 2013. The Right to Education Act guarantees the provisions of Free and Compulsory Education to Children(LKG TO VIII STD).
